Database management can cause a headache for anyone who relies on and works closely with data. We often hear organisations share how they experience overwhelm, anxiety, boredom, dread, and stress using out of date or tired systems.
The Church Army charity team came to us knowing that they needed help with storing and interacting with their safeguarding data. The existing spreadsheet based system was outdated and not working for them. They wanted to have confidence and control over the data, giving them peace of mind and flexibility.
Church Army supports those living in poverty across the United Kingdom and Ireland. Individuals who volunteer and are part of the Church Army team must have appropriate background checks. The safeguarding process is fundamental to upholding the organisation's integrity for all of those working with young and vulnerable people.

Amy, Finn, and Ben reviewed their existing data structure and gained a good understanding of their database needs and ambitions. We then used our experience and expertise to create a new digital structure for the data. We took the stress out of devising a solution by working together to create a plan that incorporated all the organisation's unique needs.

They came to us with all the pieces, and we fitted them together, finishing the jigsaw and saying goodbye to any database dread that the team members had previously described. Our relationship did not end there, with our support retainer in place we have worked alongside the Church Army team to enhance the original build, adding new features and refining the process.

NB: The data presented above is a mock up, no personal data has been used.
“Just wanted to say thank you for all you have done to develop our safeguarding database. It wasn’t an easy brief, but you patiently and carefully understood and created what we needed.”Faye Popham, Church Army - Associate Director of Organisational Learning
